About Us
My name is Karla Klipper (KoKo), Licensed Massage Therapist, founder and owner of Body Rescue in San Diego, California. I own a professional, therapeutic massage company based in San Diego and service all of San Diego and surrounding communities.
Body Rescue San Diego was established in 2006, initially as Balance Bodyworks Massage Therapy. In early 2008, I changed the direction of my massage business, offering more services and flexible availability for clients requiring immediate relief from chronic, muscular issues and soft tissue injury. With Body Rescue, I currently offer massage clients in and around the San Diego area my unique blend of traditional Swedish massage combined with specific modalities ranging from Myotherapy to Lomi Lomi, Trigger Point, Injury massage, Craniosacral therapy and Sports massage.
I attended the Arizona School of Massage Therapy in Tempe, AZ and graduated in May of 2006 with over 800 hours of massage and bodywork training and 115 hours of clinical application. In March of 2008, I attended a Lomi Lomi workshop at the Mueller College of Holistic Studies, instructed by nationally recognized Wolfgang Luckman, acupuncture physician. I'm currently working toward my Holistic Health Practioners (HHP) License, and I am licensed to practice massage in both California and Arizona. I became Nationally Certified by the NCBTMB in January of '07 and am insured with the AMTA.
In February of 2007, I auditioned to work on an elite team of therapists who perform contract massage for Dr Dot. I was hired on as an assistant, working backstage massage at concerts and shows here in San Diego. I've had the great opportunity to meet some fabulous people in the music industry.
